About Tueeyo in Village Jhiri, P.O. Naggar, Kullu

Who we are?
'Tueeyo' comes from the sound of a laughing thrush, a bird spotted quite frequently in spring time in the Himalayas.
We are a 4 year old young & small unit working on various community projects with women & children from Naggar in Kullu district.

What we do?
With the work we do with the village women, our primary focus is to add to the craft and technique of crochet through design intervention such that it can appeal to a larger audience and also to elevate this traditional 'bunai' to a work of art. There are currently 8 women in our team.

We also teach art, nature appreciation, craft & music to the village children in our mobile school- as we like to call it, since most of our art workshops are conducted at various locations in the forest where the children draw upon direct inspiration from nature. Our team of budding creative little minds is a little over 25 now and growing!

About our products
Tueeyo's products are simple and always strive to draw a connection to the hills & forests. It is also an initiative to connect to the lives & stories of the makers- who are the hard working women from the village, for they are the happy face behind every Tueeyo product.
Our product range currently comprises of Lamps & lampshades, home decor & accessories such as as cushions, baskets, throws, planters etc., Scarves & cowl necks, Jewellery, Hand bags & pouches, art installations for the home.
