About Vivekananda Pat Mandir in , Silchar

Vivekananda Pat Mandir is a unique institution working for the people in the spirit of ‘Service to MAN is Service to GOD’. Amongst its works a few are: sponsorship to poor students for education, treatment of poor people, work for the backward and downtrodden people, two study centres for the poor children, town cleanliness, monthly sitting among youth members for self-improvement, etc. The Pat Mandir is run by donations from the philanthropic people across the district. This institution started in 2003 by a group of well-wishers who wanted a moral growth in the youth. The Pat Mandir consists of 25 members presently. The spirit and enthusiasm with which the members are working in this institution is a by-product of our onward journey towards our Goal which is being practised through Renunciation (Selflessness, Love, Dedication, Sincerity) and Service.
