About What’s Next in Libraries? in NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SILCHAR, ASSAM, Silchar

Creating a vibrant and sustainable library ecosystem requires that librarians and libraries adapt, change, and innovate to stay relevant to users and home institutions. What are the current trends in successful academic and public libraries? How do we as professionals re-imagine library space that is flexible and attractive? How do we develop partnerships that advance the mission of our libraries?

These are among some of the questions that will be examined and discussed by librarians from the United States, India, and other countries who will interact during this three-day conference to build skills, learn from colleagues, and return home with practical ideas.

The conference format will encourage individual participants to become engaged in discussions and presentations through a variety of sessions, including lectures, posters, “lightning” talks, individual consultations, round table discussions and workshops.
