CSI St.Lukes Church built primarily for the staffs of JIPMER ,now shares the love of God to everyone.

Time line:

19.11.1972 : The foundation stone was laid by Rt.Rev.Dr.Lesslie Newbigin, Bishop in Madras.

09.09.1973: The Church dedication was dedicated once again by Rt.Rev.Dr.Lesslie Newbigin.

1988 : Tamil services were Introduced

1993 : Christmas and New Year services were Introduced

1996 : The church was given the status of 'Unit Church' by the Diocese of
Madras.
Rev.Paul Prabhakar became the first Presbyter of the Church

27.01.2002 : Foundation stone for New Church building was laid by Rt.Rev.V.Devasahayam, Bishop in Madras.

27.06.2006 : The Church was dedicated to our Lord Almighty by our Bishop in Madras,Rt.Rev.V.Devasahayam
