About Socio Economic Development Association - SEDA in Azhagiamandapam, Mulagumoodu Post,, Kanyakumari

Socio Economic Development Association (SEDA) is a rural development organization working for the development of the poor, widows, handicapped in Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu. It is a registered society under Tamilnadu societies registration act.

We are creating employment opportunities for artisans and agricultural laborers by giving vocational training. We are encouraging the SHG members relating to health, sanitation, education, insurance, savings, poultry keeping, cattle rearing, etc.

The activities are carried out with dedication, promptness, efficiency, courtesy and transparency.

Our organization is associated with Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) m/o Textiles, Govt. of India, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC), (A Govt. of India undertaking, Ministry of Minority Affairs).

SEDA is the implementing agency in respect of Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikash Yojana an integrated craft cluster development programme of o/o DC(H), Govt. of India. It has been providing necessary technical inputs to rural artisans to improve their production.

SEDA is NABARD’s nodal agency for Coconut Development Cluster. It has been assisted by NABARD for various developmental programmes such as REDP, MEDP, Skill Development Programme, and SHG awareness programme, Animators / Field workers of NGOs Training Programme.
