About Orion's Teen Leadership and Service Learning Platform in New Friends Colony, Delhi

Our children are not only an enormous source of energy and creativity, but they are also the key to our future. In a culture that is so warped around ‘wants’ and ‘achievements,’ it is easy for the children to grow up without a sense of gratitude or a sense of empathy.

Research shows that community service activities not only enable in our children higher self-esteem, responsibility and resilience, but also helps them gain skills such as leadership, communication skills, dependability, time management and decision making.

Orion is a "Teen Leadership and Service Learning" platform for school-going teenaged children. With the aim to sensitise children to pressing issues around them, enable them to realise their potential as agents of change and equip them with the tools necessary to do so, we strive to create and generate positive impact that can be built upon.

Over a course of carefully constructed interactive modules and community engagement, the students come to develop new perspectives and confidence in their ability to make a sustainable difference. Through their connection with a social cause(s) they resonate with, the children engage in empathetic action in a mentored environment, till they discover their own wings, towards the end of each module.

We can address issues that matter to us all, from improving communities to reforming education through tapping into the passion and hearts of young people wanting to make a difference! We at Orion believe that everybody can bring about structural positive impact. All we need to do is, start!
