Art is a form of expression, a window into an artist’s soul, an artist’s view on his/her perception of life. For me , painting is all about my love for life.
God knows we have enough of trials and tribulations in life. If they were not there, we would not appreciate joy. Similarly , to appreciate peace we must be aware of the horrors of war but to reflect strife would be to relive it again and again, day after day. So, I like to dwell on the happy notes in life.
Be it an abstract or a portrait or a doodle , i like to paint ‘happy’ pictures, paintings that celebrate life , paintings with a ‘feel good’ factor. As a die- hard optimist, the vibrant colours and happy images in my paintings mirror my ‘joie de vivre’ or zest for life.
Zentangle art is my pet leaning at the moment. I love the intricacies of the doodles incorporated into paintings.
