Being a honest, humble and friendly natured person, he was very popular among the residents; Ganesh Naikji gave him the opportunity to serve the community in a bigger way by giving him an NCP councillor ticket in 2010, from ward no. 53 and he won the confidence and blessings of the residents of Sector 1A, 3, 4 & 5.

In the year 2011 he was elected as a Corporator from Ward No. 53.
He also continues to serve the public through his NGO's Vaibhav Pratisthan and Khushi foundation.

It is rightly said – ‘Behind every successful man is there is a woman’… Mrs. Devyani Vaibhav Gaikwad, a Post Graduate in Business Administration is the pillar of support and success of Vaibhav Gaikwad.
