About Benaras Youth Parliament in BHU, Varanasi

Benares, the city of ghats, where everything has a deeper meaning, like the river below - it is not surprising to start a lively boat-ride from Assi, when all of a sudden you reach the Manikarnika ghat, to find bodies perpetually burning, compelling you to think how fugacious a journey can be and how more do we need to make all the differences that we can in such a short time that we have. one such difference are we trying to make today.

We, as youth ambassadors of Benares, introduce to you the Benares Youth Parliament, through which we aim to instill parliamentary and democratic values amongst people in Varanasi, which is the least anyone can do in an era where the country is alive with debates, questioning everything from nationalism to constitutionalism to judicial activism. Democracy can work methodically when we all work together, so let's give our country all that we can.

We welcome all the delegates from all across the country to the oldest living city of the world. Benaras. Our Benaras.
