About Jeevan Sadhana High School, Baroda, India in Karelibaug, Vadodara

The school originally started in a gowdown in Hujarat Paga- and thus was born a Sadhana For Life-"Jeevan Sadhana".Fifty years ago, the founder members, Shri Sanat Mehta, Late Smt. Aruna Mehta, Mr. Pushkar Pandya, Mr Navneet Dave and Ms. Manda Amin sowed the seeds of “Jeevan Sadhana” at a nondescript godown at Hujarat Paga in Vadodara on 18th February, 1956. Prior to this, they had established a Montessori School named ”Bal Sadhana” near Sultanpura.Our trustees selected a plot of land in Navi Dharti, an area where the Harijans and Rabaris resided.They were of the view that these under privileged people would be motivated if there were a school in their midst.

In the initial years, the school conducted many activities in which the nearby underprivileged residents were involved. We allowed the local children to study in the school at night. We made special arrangements for nutritious diet with the help of UNESCO and we even got toilets constructed for the harijans to teach them the importance of cleanliness.

Jeevan Sadhana has a glorious past. We have won prizes, merit and acclaim at State Level Drama Competition, Dance Competitions, Quiz etc.

Our children have flowered into various professions like Geologists, Flim-Stars, Singers, Lecturers and countless Doctors and Engineers.

Our talented children have taken part in cultural festivals conducted by International Organisations in France and Germany.
