Nanda Devi Institute of Adventure Sports and Outdoor Education (NDI) is now offering basic mountaineering courses to general candidates. The aim is to systematically impart training in basic mountaineering with focus on life saving skills. The ten days basic mountaineering course is open for candidates in the age range of 13-18 years. Apart from learning the basic skills, the participants will get an opportunity to trek in the higher Himalayan meadows. Without compromising with the outdoor fun, the entire exercise is packaged to inculcate outdoor leadership and conservation values. The course instructors are amongst the best in the adventure sector. Renowned mountaineers and ex- army veterans’ from the Indian Army’s High Altitude Warfare School and seasoned Instructors from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) will manage the course. The instructor trainee ratio is the lowest with one experienced instructor on maximum rope strength of 8 trainees along with select guest faculty, under the overall supervision of the course director.

Certified by the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) Uttarkashi to organize courses in Ski and Snow Craft based Search & Rescue in snow bound areas and training in rock climbing and mountaineering.
