About Society for Protection Of Cultural Heritage (SPOCH) in Thycad, Thiruvananthapuram

Society for Protection of Cultural Heritage (SPOCH) is a voluntary organisation of artists and art lovers with the main objective of preserving and promoting Indian artistic tradition and rich cultural heritage of India. It was founded in 1982 with H.H. Princess Gowri Parvathy Bai as patron and Sri. J. Sasikumar, a renowned artist, as chairman along with the participation of well know artists from Indian and abroad.

Since its inception in 1982, SPOCH has been involved in various activities like welfare of the Artists and to promote Art, Artists and Paintings etc. The Society has held a host of programmes highlighting the importance in preserving and promoting arts with a view to encourage art tradition and cultural Heritage. The society planned and executed several programmes to bring art lovers and even the common people to appreciate and to know more about the artistic tradition and rich cultural heritage of our country.
