About Gandhi MEDIA in GANDHIGRIHAM, Thiruvananthapuram

The Gandhi Media Foundation, incorporating the Gandhi Media Center, established in 1997 under the general guidance of the Quit India heroine and Gandhian scholar Dr Usha Mehta; former Governor and Gandhian leader Sadiq Ali, and P N Haksar, distinguished scholar-statesman and founded byGandhian scholars and activists Dr.N.Radhakrishnan and N.Vasudevan, seeks to promote a culture of peace and harmony in line with the world vision of Gandhi.

It is an effort to effectively use the infinite power of media for social change and individual transformation by reinterpreting Gandhi in the context of the emerging socio-political scenario. It focuses on the power of every person to discover the Gandhi in every one of us.

The GMFalso strives to encourage the citizens to look at social change through Gandhi’s eyes. It is envisaged as a data-bank and umbrella media initiative of all shades of Gandhian initiatives and organisations in and outside India to project the Revolutionary Gandhi who was miles ahead of most of his contemporaries.
