About Harmony in Indian Medical Association IMA Building, Red Cross Road, Thiruvananthapuram

Indian Medical Association, Trivandrum , started a new initiative “ HARMONY”– a monthly marital and family counseling ,guidance and training program along with a round the clock telephone counseling service.

“Premarital training /Guidance can help ensure that you and your partner have a strong, healthy relationship — giving you a better chance for a stable and satisfying marriage. (Mayo Clinic, Arizona). The Premarital Training/ Guidance program serves as a booster that raises couples capacity to handle potential hazards. The divorce statistics is an alarm call and it shows the ‘criticality’ of an intervention in this specific walk of life.

IMA’s Marital- Family Counseling/ Training & Guidance Project –‘Harmony’, intervenes to reduce the ill- effect of a hapless marital life so as to pave way for a zestful, lively and dynamic generation.

The topics covered by the program in the two-day session ( a Saturday and Sunday of a month) are: Marital issues, Life skills in marriage, Psychological blind spots in marriage, Legal Awareness, Substance Abuse, Effective Communication, Sex and married life, Yoga & fitness for marital life, Financial planning, Sociological aspects in Marriage and Dance therapy .
