About BSc Mathematics MG College in Department of Mathematics, Mahatma Gandhi College, Kesavadasapuram, Pattom. PO., Trivandrum-695 004 Kerala, India., Thiruvananthapuram

The department of Mathematics was established on 22 August 1948. The department has the distinction of being one of the oldest departments of this college, offering courses at the UG and PG levels. The PG course was started in1967. The performance of the students is assessed by the group tutors and the tutorial system act as a grievance redressal forum. Remedial classes are conducted for weaker students. Among the five faculty members of the department two are PhD holders, and one among them is a research guide. Two teachers are doing research, leading to PhD. The department conducts free coaching for NET and SET examinations.

There is a well run organization of PG students of Mathematics, namely the 'Ramanuja Vedi' which conducts National Seminar on Mathematics every year. We organized an eye donation camp in the college, a couple of years back. The department has a very strong Alumni association, with members from various spheres of life
