GINESIS OF SRISTI – The Creation:

“NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF ALL INVENTION”
According to Cambridge Dictionary this is “An Expression that means that if you really need to do something, you will think a way of doing it.”
In the urge of doing something for society and finding the way of doing something for the people of the society, two young active social activist Miss Sumitra Barman & Mr. Uttam Kr. Borkataky have united some friends and social activists from different parts of Assam and called a meeting on 28th of June,2014, at Tezpur and discuss about the present conditions of the societies of the North Eastern State of India. All the members present in the meeting decided to organize and form an NGO to work for the people of the society. As Ms. Sumitra Barman suggested the name of the
NGO as SRISTI – The Creation and with the positive consent of all the members the NGO was named as SRISTI – The Creation.
Thus SRISTI – The Creation was established on 28th June,2014. All the necessary documents required for forming an Ngo i.e. Memorandum of Association, Rule & Regulation of the organization was drafted in the meeting. The executive committee was formed in the meeting with Sumitra Barman as Chairperson and Uttam Kr. Borkataky as Executive Director and five other members as Director. The Aim, Vision, Mission, Objectives and Motto were also decided at the meeting.
AIM: To work for all round development of the society.
VISION: The vision of SRISTI – The Creation is to establish a society where people can feel the air of freedom, peace and unity irrespective to caste, creed, religion and color.
MISSION: The mission of SRISTI – The Creation is to organize and empower the rural poor women and youths to promote development as a liberating for achieving social justice, economic growth and self reliance.
OBJECTIVES: The objectives of SRISTI – The Creation is to create a society where people can feel the air of freedom, peace and unity irrespective to caste, creed, religion and color.

MOTTO : সপোনৰ পথেৰে আগুৱাই গৈ কৰিম আমি এক নতুন সৃষ্টি……
(Sapunor Pothere aguwai goi korim ami ek natun SRISTI.)

After all needful documents required for registration, SRISTI – The Creation have applied for registration under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. And finally on 18th December 2014 SRISTI – The Creation was registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with Registration No. RS/SPR/242/G/107 OF 2014-15.

An NGO is to work for charity so its income should be tax exempted and to run an NGO it should collect donation. So for tax exemption and profit of donors the executive body decided to apply for 12AA and 80G U/S Income Tax Act of 1961.
SRISTI – The Creation applied for 12AA and 80G registrations and on 10th September, 2015 SRISTI – The Creation was registered U/S 12AA and 80G of the Income Tax Act of 1961.
