About Original Dorabdaru Masalawala in 11/2569, Lalgate Khand Bazar, Rajmarg, Surat

History of the shop:-
11/2569, લાલગેટ ખાંડબજાર , સુરત ખાતે આવેલી અમારી દુકાન આસરે ૧૫૦ વર્ષ જૂની દોરાબદારૂ મસલાવાલાના નામથી સમગ્ર જુના સુરતમાં પ્રખ્યાત છે. મૂળ પારસી વ્યાપારી સજ્જન શ્રી દોરાબજી રતનજી પાગડીવાલા આ પેઢી સંભાલતા. તેઓના મસાલા પારસી સમાજ તેમજ અન્ય કોમમાં પણ ખુબજ લોકપ્રિય હતા. એમના મરણ પછી એમના સુપુત્ર કેખુશરું એ વહીવટ સાંભળેલો . ત્યારબાદ અમારા પરદાદા શ્રી મગનલાલ મોતીરામે પેઢીમાં નોકરીએ જોડાઇને વર્ષો સુધી નિષ્ઠાવાન તેમજ ઉમદા સેવા આપી હતી. શ્રી દોરાબજીના કોઈ સંતાનોને આ દુકાનમાં રસ નહતો . આથી શ્રી કેખુશ્રુએ દુકાનનું નામ દોરાબદારૂ ચાલુ રાખવાની શરતે દુકાન મગનભાઈને સોપી દીધેલી. શ્રી મગનભાઈ તથા તેમના પુત્રો શ્રી ચીમનભાઈ અને શ્રી મોહનભાઈ અને ત્યારબાદ એમના પુત્રોએ તનતોડ મહેનત અને પ્રમાણીકતાથી એ દુકાનને ખુબજ આગળ વધારી. સમયાંતરે આ દુકાન શ્રી ચીમનભાઈ તથા એમના પુત્રો ના ભાગે સંચાલનમાં આવી. શ્રી ચીમનભાઈના મોટા સુપુત્ર શ્રી મનહરભાઈ દોરાબદારૂ એ "અસલ દોરાબદારૂ મસાલાવાલ" પેઢી ખુબજ નિષ્ઠાવાન રહીને ચલાવી , તેમજ પેઢી નામના સમગ્ર દક્ષીણ ગુજરાતમાં આગળ વધારી. કાળક્રમે તેઓના અવસાન બાદ તેમના બે પુત્રો શ્રી ભરતભાઈ તથા શ્રી જતીનભાઈ એ આ પરંપરા આગળ વધારી એકમાંથી બે દુકાનના માલિક બન્યા.
ઉપરોક્ત પરંપરા જારવી રાખી શ્રી જતીનભાઈ દોરબ દારૂવાલા એ અસલ દુકાનનું સંચાલન સંભાળતા અમારા ગુણવત્તા સભર મસાલા તેમત સુકો મેવો સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં વસતા અમારા માનવંતા ગ્રાહકોને પોહ્ચાડવાનું નેમ લીધું છે.
શ્રી જતીનભાઈએ નાનપણથી મસાલા બનાવવાની કળા પોતાના હસ્તક રાખી જાત મહેનતથી આસરે ૮૦ જાતના મસાલા (પંજાબી મસાલા, નોનવેજ મસાલા તેમજ પારસી મસાલા, રેગુલર મસાલા ) તેયાર કરે છે.

અંગ્રેજોના સમયથી હોમમેઈદ મસાલામાં "દોરાબદારૂ માંસલાવાલાનું" નામ હમેશા અગ્રેસર છે. દોરાબદારૂ મસાલાવાળા ની અસલ દુકાનની સ્થાપના સન ૧૮૬૫ માં થઇ હતી. આવી સુરત શહેર માં ફક્ત એકજ દુકાન છે જેની બીજી કોઈ શાખા નથી.
We are the traders for Indian Spices and Dry fruits as the brand name of "Dorabdaru Masalawala" since last 150 years in Surat and we earned the so much of fame and trust due to our concern with quality. The founder of this business was Mr Dorabji Ratanji Paghdiwala who was one of the leading and famous person among Parsi community and other local communities. Mr Kekhusharu (S/O. Mr Dorabji Ratanji Paghdiwala) has proceed his business after sad demise of Mr Dorabji Paghdiwala. Then our great grandfather Mr Maganlal Motiram joined the organization and served organization with honesty, dedication and loyalty. Family of Mr Dorabji Paghdiwala was having no interest to run this organization as they had different business plan for them. Looking forward to the quality of services provided by Mr Maganlal Motiram the handed over the complete business to him. They ask for the commitment that "Dorabdaru Masalawala" brand name will not change ever. Mr Maganlal Motiram has handled complete organization very carefully and improved quality of products day by day. After sad demise of Mr Maganlal Motiram, Mr Mohanbhai and Mr Chimanlal (Both were S/o. Mr Maganlal Motiram) has took away the business to new horizon by working hard to maintain quality of the product.
One can expect the fame of the organization that the family of the organization has to change the family name to "Dorabdaruwala". Mr Manaharbhai Dorabdaruwala (S/o. Mr Chimanlal) has renowned the name "Original Dorabdaru Masalawala" and proceeded the business further. Now, this organization was achieving new success and milestone day by day. The organization and the philosophy behind this organization never died, After the death of Mr Manaharlal Dorabdaruwala Mr Bharat Dorabdaruwala and Mr Jatin Dorabdaruwala (S/o Mr Manahar Dorabdaruwala) has took over the complete command over the organization.

Maintaining tradition of Development and concerning the quality product, Mr Jatin has managed the organization at its best. Mr Jatin lead the organization to the new milestone at each second. Now, Dorabdaru Masala is the brand for the world. Mr Jatin had adopted the technique of manufacturing spices from his childhood. His innovative ideas, hard work and secret recipe leaded the organization up to monopoly of 80 different Indian spices. Today spices of the organization is categorised in Punjabi Spices, Non-veg recipe Spices, Parsi spices and Regular spices.
We are the leaders and the founder in homemade spices from the time of British Rule. The organization has established in 1865 and this is the only organization in India and it is not having any other branch.
