WHAT IS VTS

• Vehicle Tracking is a technology that allows you to see your vehicle’s locations on a computer screen along with information on where they have been, what time they were turned ON/OFF, how fast they are going and a host of other features. This is made available by using a combination of GPS (Global Positioning System) technology, the mobile phone network, the internet, digital mapping and specialized tracking software.
• The VTS system primarily consists of a GPS receiver on the bus or vehicle, a communications link between the vehicle and the dispatcher, Web based or offline tracking software and a digital map.
• Communication between the GPS receiver and the server could happen via a GSM network using SMS (Short Message Service) or General Packet Radio Service (GPRS).

How it Works

A GPS tracking device is installed in your vehicle and records the co-ordinates. The tracking device has a built in capability to send messages over the GSM network to our servers which in turn use the same data to show the corresponding vehicle on a map.
