Sufi Media Service (SMS) is dedicated to Hazrat Khwaja Moin ud din Chishti (R.A) – the
great Sufi Saint of India, who propagated Islam in India and stood as a great
champion of tolerance, brotherhood, and compassion.
In the present day world Islam is being misrepresented and misconceived by the
vested interests. Islam-the religion which stands for brotherhood, equality,
tolerance, care for the needy and the deserving, peace, goodwill to all is being
ascribed to radicalism and terrorism. The revered prophet of Islam Hazrat
Muhammad (SAW) is known as Rehmatal-Lil-Aalameen (Compassionate to all
irrespective of their caste, creed and beliefs). It is by following the
true spirit and universal values of Islam that this religion reached the nook and
corner of the world.
Sufi Media Service shall endeavour to present and highlight the universal values
and tenets of Islam as practised and presented by the Sufi luminaries. In the
present day world where conflict, tensions, race for material interests is being
given prominence, Sufi teachings have occupied all the more significance and relevance. In fact
the teachings of Sufis are regarded as a panacea for all the present day ills in the
society.
We utilize all the three components of media-Print, electronic
and social for its objectives. The languages to be used for presentations
include Urdu, Hindi and English. It is an endeavour to solicit cooperation with
the other local, national and international media houses to promote the cause. It is a platform to
give space to the write-ups by prominent writers on Sufism and Sufis.
It shall highlight the teachings of the Sufi saints which have a great relevance in the
present times. Its coverage shall include the activities of all religious, social and
cultural organizations. It shall arrange features on the life and
achievements of the Sufi saints.
