About Write Kashmir in Bubbles Day Care & Preparatory School – Baghat Barzalla, Srinagar

One of Kashmir’s most-read and leading Columnists, Junaid Azim Mattu would be taking 50 admissions (two groups) for a four month long course on critical and creative writing that would cover areas of writing, study of rhetoric and fiction and a well-rounded curriculum of opinion and journalistic writings from around the world. The course would be organized on the American Writing, Rhetoric and Culture – (WRA) college course format and would comprise of classes three days a week in evenings to facilitate those who attend Universities and Colleges or Jobs during the day. Students would be supplied tailored curriculum for analytical study and will be asked to write a paper once every week that would present the student’s opinion and showcase his or her analytical understanding of the study prescribed. There would be a few guest-lectures by authors, journalists and columnists.


The students will be supplied with course material in every class and the curriculum will consist of 3 non-fiction and 2 fiction books that all students will have to read as a part of the course and write reviews, opinions and critical pieces about. The students will be graded for each assignment and all in-class tests for the duration of the course and the grades will be given on a 4 point Grade Point Average (GPA) format.
