We Welcome students to The Global Spelling Bee Championships.

The Global Spelling Bee -A spelling Competition for school students across major cities in India

Our aim is to create an awareness of importance and the necessity to spell and pronounce words correctly. Further develop an enthusiasm among students to read and learn new words.

Our Purpose
To improve and advance the skills associated with good spelling habits.
To enhance student development of poise and communication under pressure
To expand student vocabulary and encourage accurate word usage and pronunciation .

Description of Event

The Global Spelling Bee Championship -A spelling competition where students from every school can participate and compete to become Global Spell Champ for his /her School /City/District/State /National in their category .Words used are British English and With Oxford Dictionary as reference

Eligibility of Criteria

This competition is designed for students studying from Class I to Class X -from State /ICSE /CBSE/ IG Boards. The Participation is Open to one and all without any conditions. Even Vernacular Medium Students can also Participate

There are 6 category in each registered participant will take part as per the level they are presently studying at his/her school

Registration

Competitions is open to all students who are enrolled in school from Class I to Class X of ICSE / CBSE/ State Boards.

District level Rs 400 /- Inclusive of Preparatory book
State level Rs 500 /-

Preparatory book

The Global Spelling Bee Championships -Learn to Spell Book - [Basic & Advanced} containing various aspects of the activity , along with a word list of approx 5000 spell words -will be provided to all Participants along with test and practice papers. for preparation .

Awards :

School Level /Open : Participation Certificates for all Participants who take the Preliminary written test

District Level: Commendation Certificates for all Qualifiers who take the District Final Written test . Certificates/Trophies/ Prizes for all Top 3 Winners of the Oral Rounds in Each Category. Top 5 Qualify for the State Level Rounds

State Level : Commendation certificates for all Qualifiers. Certificates/Trophies/ Prizes for all Top 3 Winners of the Oral Rounds in Each Category. Top 3 Qualify for the National Level Rounds

National Level :Commendation certificates for all Qualifiers Certificates/Trophies/ Prizes for Top 3 Winners of the Oral Rounds in Each Category.

Level Rounds

Rounds of Competition : The competition is held in 5 stages

Preliminary Rounds School/
1. Dictation of 30 words for all category
2. Choose Appropriate Words for the Sentence.
3. Find The Missing Alphabet in the word
4 Jumble Words

Open Participants - Online MCQ paper
Qualifying marks for next Round will be 70% of 50

District Open : Toppers / Qualifiers from the Preliminary Rounds will be subjected to another round of written spelling test for 50 Marks. Qualifying marks 90% of marks of 50 for Oral Rounds .Qualifiers from the Written rounds will then have an Oral Round to decide the final category winner of the District Rounds. The top 5 Winners of each Category qualify for the State Level

State Level Rounds : The top 5 Winners of each Category from the District Level will be subjected to a written test of 50 words . Qualifiers from the Written rounds will then have Oral Round to decide the final category winner of the State level Rounds. The top 3 Winners of each Category qualify for the National Level

National Level Rounds: The top 3 Winners of each Category at the State Level will be subjected to a written test of 50 marks. Qualifiers from the Written rounds will then have an Oral Round to decide the final category winner of the National level Rounds

Note : Preliminary Rounds dates for school level participating schools will be held after finalization with school authorities All Written Rounds in all Category will be held on Sun day only and Oral Rounds on Sunday for qualifiers .
State and National Levels will be held after the local Inter School Finals to be intimated later.
