Evergreen punjabi singer- Satwinder Bugga
In punjabi music, talented singer satwinder bugga’s name needs no introduction. With his melodious voice,he has not only won many hearts, but has also carved a niche for himself.his voice exudes the same sweetness and freshness that was present two decades ago when he started his career. Hard work, practice and devotion towards music eventually led him to taste the musical success. Be it a serious song or a beat song bugga lends his ‘midaas touch’ to every song. Resultantly, bugga has a section of audience both in india and abroad. In an interview to this writer, bugga said he was a native of mukaronpur village in fatehgarh sahib district. His family’s area of occupation for the past three decades has been agriculture, commission agent and transport business. Bugga’s father donned the mantle of village sarpanch with utmost dedication. Now, bugga himself is the sarpanch. The singer said his father Sardar Rajinder Singh and mother Sardarni Jaswant Kaur has always showered him with blessings and supported him through thick and thin. Bugga had developed the hobby for singing since childhood.
the singer further revealed that he participated in bhangra, gazal singing and war singing during his college days and took part in various cultural programmes held in and outside the school. Thereby entertaining the audiences, in and around his area of operation; there was no looking back. He completed his graduation from shaheed kanshi ram memorial college. Bhagoo Majra, Kharar and Post Graduation in Economics from Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib. During these days Bugga’s close friend Vicky Modi introduced him to music director Charanjit Ahuja, a well known personality in punjabi music industry. Under the guidance of shri ahuja he learnt various sinews of music.
The success of bugga’s first album ‘Tera Nachna Bara Kamaal,” released by tips, enhanced his confidence. Once he tasted success, he never looked back. The list of his released albums increased in the days that followed. Most of the albums have been well recerived by the audiences.
He credits his success to Ustad Shri Charanjit Ahuja, his parents and his well wishers, without them he would never have attained such heights.
Apart from being a talented singer, bugga is a man with a golden heart. He is a down to earth person.
His songs that have been appreciated by people include like ‘sada ujad gaya das ki hor ujarengi’ , ‘kiton dil vi kali kara lai “ , eh ishq kise da nahi hoya”, ehnu muh na lavin” ‘kudi punjaban lagdi e”, rabb de samaan sanu kehan waliye”, aa ke lambra di khuhi ute mil patlo” and ‘bedarde ni bekadre ni’, hove tutan wali thandi thandi chhan doston,”tere bajon giddhe da suad nahio aaya,
Bugga has showcased his talent in various countries such as the Uk, the Usa,Canada, Australia and New zealand.
Bugga is quite excited about his new album..’aine khat likhdi na’, which has been released recently by speed records. The album has been produced and presented by dinesh ,ruby and sonu who have been associated with the record company. Charanjit Ahuja is the music director of the album. The album’s title song ‘jinne dukh sanu tu ditte, koi hor hunda taan mar jaanda’ has been shot in scenic locales of manali under the direction of Rimpy Prince. His new Song Challa vs Jugni is Released Now World Wide Released by Bugga Records. All videos are being telecast on various music channels and Youtube as well.
