Late Murlidhar Agarwal born at Isherwal Haryana 15th Jan 1942 - 1st Sep 2003. In the year 1953 touched the tenderness of soil at Siliguri, in the sylvan campus of tea plantation, where the air is moist with peculiar odor of excitation with CTC process of tea making in full operation .

My father Late Muralidhar Agarwal was as exuberant, sympathetic, helpful, hard working, self-built businessman but ever dutiful, hardship in career making was his mantra, whatever be the obstacles.

In 1979 he started Navin Enterprise, I saw him while opening his tidy office room in sevoke road-worshipping, deities and predecessors with incense stick with deep meditation. He was excellent in time management, prudent in decision, always aspirant to do something new to keep a mark ......far above humdrum of routine life. He induced me to - work with him, always with smile and vision to achieve a goal. Extremely sociable and vibrant personality was he and still my memories 'are as fresh as three decades ago, I am lucky to have a real father and well wisher at fag end of my life.

My father is an emblem of love,affection and sympathy to all who came in his life.
Writing the annals of any life experience is never an easy task as it is necessary to mention not only its success but the failures too. It is expedient to know the past of any life experience not only in order to run it smoothly in the present as well as the future but also to get a firsthand knowledge of its modus operandi and learn lessons not to repeat its failures and mistakes.

The credit of development of coal combustion catalyst goes to Prof. Smarajit Sen, Deptt.of Applied Chemistry R K Mission Vidyamandira Belur Math Howrah, W.Bengal India, formerly Director, Customs and Central Excise Laboratories Govt of India who is a childhood friend of Late. Murlidhar Agarwal, founder of Catalyst Corporation at siliguri, foot hills of north eastern Himalayan range.

Prof. Sen was obsessed with dream of development of an energy saving catalyst for coal, a fast depleting fossil fuel in Indian subcontinent for its preservation and minimisation of green house gas Co2 emission in the context of menace of global warming, faced by our planet. The task of development was undertaken by him with his wide exposure of analysis of industrial catalysts imported to India and his acumen in materials science and technology emanated from University college of technology while pursuing M.Tech. curriculum at Calcutta University. He tried a wide range of transition metal complexes and research culminated with Manganese based coordination compound which was found to be cost effective @ dose of 0.5% of coal subjected to combustion in addition to cellulosics by products like rice husk, bagasse, cashew shells, used in industries in place of coal due to economic constraints/non availability as for example Kerala coastal belt.or sugar cane producing areas in goa and Maharashtra.
