About Upasana Nritya Shiksha Kendra in J.C Bose Road, Siliguri

Dance Instructor Mistu Chatterjee is a B.Mus degree holder in Kathak dance form of the Lucknowi Gharana ('Prabhakar' from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad and 'Bibhakar' from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad) and was placed 3rd all over West Bengal in the year 1991 for her performance in Bangiya Sangeet Samiti's B.Mus examination.
She started dance lessons from a very early age in the year 1976. In the year 1989, she went under the guidance of Pt. Santosh Maharaj (Kolkata) and Pt. Gopal Mishra (Banaras).
She has been very active in Siliguri, promoting Kathak, Folk, Creative and Light Classical dance forms.
Upasana was her brainchild through which she intends to spread her love for dance.
