Path to Creation is a registered Trust.

Our origins: The inspiration for Path to Creation evolves from a personal conviction through 20 years of working with wonderful promising youths and children falling into vulnerable situations due to various circumstances in their lives. We at Path to Creation, strive at building new starting points for the long term recovery and rehabilitation of children/youths. Through the pages of time, we began to reach out to the young community in general by being a white canvas where they can paint out their dreams and visions for a better tomorrow.

About us: Path to creation works among the children and the youths, by giving them a platform to uplift and befriend their positive imagination, their passion and their unique potential. We provide various training programs to enhance their skills, to deal with peer pressure, to think out of the box and most importantly, to listen to them and if needed, guidance and counseling is given.

Path to Creation also take major steps to bridge the gap of adult and child/youth understanding by training adults (NGOs, Parents, Guardians) who deals with children on an everyday basis.


Our Objectives:
•An atmosphere dedicated to a melting pot of ideas to enhance creative thinking, arts, everyday solutions and group collaboration and communication among the youths and children with an aim to achieve great transformation in meeting the needs of the hour.
•Through our programs we tend to encourage participants to rediscover themselves (not as how the world sees them) on a journey of personal therapy or on a path of reviving a lost passion/dream. However our greatest goal is observing participants on many occasions, challenging themselves to live a better life by setting new goals and resolutions despite what ever has transpired in their lives which vary from disaster, conflict, physical violence, drug use , sexual abuse and family problems.
•Our work also involves interacting with adults, parents ,guardians and NGOs to develop listening/observation skills and the ability to counsel and talk about issues which are generally taken for granted or swept under the rug by our society.

Some of our unique programs include:

Mind Mapping: Mind mapping workshops allows individuals to discover that there are no limitations on how mind maps help an individual at work, academics and business. Individual’s uses mind map to explore ideas, concepts, problem solving methods and at times presentations systematically. Mind maps can certainly help individuals to expert and excel in areas which demands clarity and creativity.

Mapping Learning Journey:
It’s a five day workshop which introduces the individual or a group to interestingly map their life’s journey, vision/plan and to realize one’s own strength and weaknesses.

Art Retreat for Self Discovery:
It’s a four day group retreat where the group experience the power and meaning of “silence” which results in the ability to reflect one’s life deeper. Art as a medium is creatively use for the entire retreat. Where the Earth meets the sky:
An experiential story reflected thorough a combination of arts, movement and visualizations. It’s a 4 day workshop for the youth and children.

Weave your own dreams workshop:
A four hour craft session of making dream catchers from scratch. It is led through guided meditation and guidance from the instructor how to weave the web loop by loop along with positive and encouraging words, symbols and items etc. These dream catchers are a Native American tradition and have been around as decorative pieces for generations.

Art Journal:
The main concept is to encourage the youths and children to record all their inspiration on a journal through art. Path to Creation holds regular sessions for individuals or a group who wants to begin and get guidance regarding the art of journaling.

Understanding Children Emotions:
A two hours workshop / training to help adults who work with children to help them understand and recognize moments in children lives when decisions are to be made in relation to their emotions. Through this workshop adults will be able to help children begin to understand the importance of each decision they make on their lives. And we hope that children will begin to recognize that there are choices available to them at each moments of decision making that do not involve harm to themselves or their futures.

Participatory Learning Story:
A two hours workshop in a form of story-telling. In this process a group of people work together to create and narrate a story. The story is developed around a series of illustrated situation and events recognizable to them in their lives. Path to Creation holds session for adults who work with children and youth and how to use this PLS method.

The milestones achieved thus far:

The Labyrinth Park for Reflection – A beautiful space located at the Bosco Institute, Jorhat, Assam specially crafted for the youths to reflect and look within and believe in themselves while strolling at the park. Reflective Programs – constantly gearing a community of enthusiastic leaders who are unconditionally creating spaces to listen and understand to issues faced by the youths and ever ready to counsel and encourage children . Since our inception we have worked with around 500 youth workers.

You & I - Arts Café – an “out of the box” learning hub dedicated to the youth - The café is a kaleidoscope of ideas, information exchange and social interaction which brings together various positive techniques and stories of achievements from around the world to encourage visions and dreams that would empower growth and development, in understanding one another and discovering more about oneself. This place also hosts seminars where resource persons and facilitators give presentations/activities to open up minds to the various things possible, especially focusing on the younger generation in molding their interests/passion and most importantly to challenge them to dream bolder.

Our cozy cafe is also a home to many art pieces and craft works coming from different artists and craftsmen across the city which are for sale, to further promote the local art scene in Shillong.

Training, Workshop & Retreat:
