About Krishi Vigyan Kendra, East Khasi Hills in San Mer, Upper Shillong, Shillong

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, East Khasi Hills was established under the Department of Agriculture, Meghalaya as the Host Organisation to carry out the activities under the objectives and mandates of KVK as approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural (ICAR) since the year 2009. From its inception, the centre has strived hard towards achieving the objectives as per the mandate given to it for the benefit of the farmers, rural youth and extension workers of the district. The centre has also been able to conduct trials and demonstrations regarding the latest proven technologies released from the different research institution across India in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Science and Rural Development. It has also been able to form linkages with various other line departments and NGOs to bring about a sustainable development in its various operational villages.
