Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli is one of the prestigious institutes in Maharashtra, India and has been excelling for 69 years since its inception. Every year institute organizes a National Level Technical Symposium "VISION .... exploring the world of technology". Born in the year 1989 with dual aims of providing the budding engineers and scientists of the country, a platform for sharing and spreading ideas of science and technology.

A brainchild of eminent professors and an actuated group of students of the institute, "VISION" is an organization managed completely by the students of WCE, Sangli on non-profit basis. Vision is envisioned as the confluence of students, academia and the industry and over the years it has been successful in its endeavours to achieve these objectives. It aims at bringing students closer to science and technology.

VISION brand-name carries with it the responsibility of providing the best and the latest in science and technology to the nation, with its doctrine of social and environmental welfare remaining intact. To work on ventures which are financially sustainable, logically feasible and have a social and environmental cause and attain ratified horizons of intellect is incorporated in its mission.

After celebrating 28th Glorious year of Excellence, once again Vision is ready to explore the world of technology. This year VISION is scheduled on 10th and 11th March 2017 and embarking on its 29 year of excellence and expects huge response from the technical community all over the country.
