About Jaswant Vilas in NH-15, Phalodi

Best Restaurant/Cafe/Bar on the route of Bikaner-Jodhpur highway (Near phalodi)

Jaswant Vilas is built in an architectural style that resonates with the makings of a small fort. This is accentuated by the structure's perch on a sand dune, with uninterrupted views for miles in every direction.

The owner Kr. Dushyant Singh of Daudsar has a farm at the site that sprawls over 70 acres and is well-versed in the region's ecology and culture. Along with his staff drawn from nearby villages, he makes sure every guest is treated with personalized care and attention.

In addition to the dining hall, which is a 125 sq feet and can seat up to 40 guests, there are two huts constructed in traditional style using indigenous materials. There is also a campsite and caravan parking, with easy access to water and hygienic wash rooms.
The 28-cover AC Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and snacks and a wide selection of cold and hot beverages. The buffet lunch menu comprises traditional Rajasthani recipes such as Laal Maans.

Kadhi and Gatte ki sabzi. The variety of non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes are cooked using fresh and local ingredients.

While most of our guests stop by for a meal and mid-way stop, Jaswant Vilas also has a lot to offer to the off-the–beaten–track traveler. This includes camping, biking, star-gazing, jeep safari and bird watching trips. With pristine sand and uninterrupted views, the site is particularly enchanting on moonlit nights.
Bird watching or wildlife tours of nearby areas are possible by 4x4 jeep or by camel and can be arranged in request.

There are many natural ponds around Jaswant Vilas where migratory birds such as flamingos and cranes can be seen. Also present are local birds like partridge, sandgrouse, peacock, green pigeon, sparrows and cuckoos. Wild animals such as deer, black buck, wild boars, neelgai, wild cats and jackals can often be seen roaming freely around the area.

Another interesting excursion is the salt farms at Runn, a nearby village where locals manufacture salt using age-old techniques.
