Handloom weavers of Bihar have styled their offerings based on the resources available locally. The weaver community developed high level of skills in tussar silk spinning, especially thigh and hand reeling to give those unique low-twist tussar silk yarns.

Apart of this they also deal in Hand- Woven Cotton products.

Only a handful of exponents of those fine skills now remain in the region. But still there is a huge craze among its lovers.

They use to come up with fine dress materials as well as furnishing materials, whose designs have not stagnated but evolved with times from plains to checks to textural patterns etc.

The most extraordinary part of the product range of Bihar's handlooms is the ease with which they translate difficult designs/ textures using improvised tools on the traditional pit/ frame looms.
