Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shikshan Sansthan or Vidya Bharati, the apex body of Saraswati Bal/ Shishu Mandir and other like institutions of higher education, was established in the year 1977 when the erudite thought that Indian culture, heritage, tradition and ethos must be preserved and fostered and in order to achieve these objectives, it became obligatory for Vidya Bharati to awaken and educate the Young.

Today, over twenty five thousand (25,000) educational & training institutions operate throughout India, under the umbrella of Vidya Bharati. Vidya Bharati caters to the educational needs of students of Pre-primary & Primary age groups, Secondary & Senior Secondary Schools, Colleges & Post-Graduate Training Colleges. Vidya Bharati conducts and promotes research in education and has its own publication division which brings out books, magazines and research studies.The organization especially aims to benefits the society by targeting areas with limited facilities.

Vidya Bharati’s educational philosophy is inspired by the maxim ‘Sa Vidya, Ya Vimuktye’– that is knowledge, that liberates. The unique education style in these schools is a fine blend of Ancient Indian styles of teaching and contemporary subjects taught, in the local language. The day starts with offering salutations to goddess Saraswati & Bharat Mata in Sanskrit and Hindi.
