Dear Volunteers,

The reverse of my visiting card says:

'Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organization that acts to change attitudes and behavior, protect and conserve the environment and promote peace.'

While that's a pretty crisp description, everyday, I am reminded that 'Greenpeace is that group of people to whom the environment entrusted its voice.' That is us.

If there are environment gods, they have been kind to Greenpeace Mumbai. We've always had the strength of a capable volunteer team. Individuals who give their time, energy and knowledge in a selfless way to move us in the direction of our goals, carrying our campaign messages in ever evolving, creative way to decision makers and the public at large.

Whether you're an activist trainee, part of a non-violent action, a community awareness event, or if you're the worker ant who puts it all together; whatever you are doing here - your role is crucial.

There is a mission at Greenpeace with each one of your names on it and inherently, a learning opportunity (one pe one free).

This page is your space to come together, share updates and ideas and build a team that is skilled, informed and ever-ready to go for green.

It is said that optimists see the glass half full, pessimists see it half empty, opportunists drink up...but a volunteer goes off to find a thirsty person. In that sense, my volunteer friends, you are a glass apart!
