About Popular Gold Mart in Mangala Complex Car St, Mangalore

The history of Popular Gold Mart dates back to the year 1935 when it was established by Late Sri Voderbettu Venkatesh Kamath at Carstreet, Mangalore. Prior to entering the line of jewellery trade, he was working as a school teacher at Manjeshwar. But as destiny had it, he quit his teacher job and worked in a jewellery shop. After learning the ins and outs of jewellery business, he setup a venture of his own. Popular Gold Mart was setup with an aim to deliver customized ethnic handcrafted jewellery.

The reigns were passed over to his sons, late Sri Vishwanath Kamath, Surendranath and grandsons.
