My dad was a baker by profession and a good cook, but I never learnt anything from him during his lifetime. I learnt basics of cooking from an aunt from then there was no looking back. The first few recipes I tried were from my dads journal.
I always tried a recipe and noted it down in my diary with comments. I like to teach cooking and my goal is to make cooking simple . I also try to figure out the easiest route to get to the yummiest version of a dish.
I have authored a cookbook “from Mariam’s kitchen” which is a collection of easy tried and tested recipes. Am working on my next cook book.Recently I won the best Start up award for my Baker's Treat store at the Annual POWER Summit 2017, which has further motivated me to take the next step and set up My Baker's Treat Cafe.
