About Uttar Pradesh Civil Society Alliance for Child Protection in B1/19 Vineet Khand Gomti Nagar, Lucknow

UP Civil Society Alliance for Child Protection is coalition of agencies working for Children which includes National and International NGOs, UN Agencies, Media Persons, Academia, Associations, Faith Based Organisations, Professionals and Journalists. The basic purpose of the coalition is to Advocate, Coordinate and facilitate for the protection of Children and their Rights.

The alliance functions through its members, advisory body and core teams. We believe that Children are the future and it is the responsibility of adults to protect them and ensure that they get the best footing in life. It is said that “Safety and security don’t just happen; they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear.”

Irrespective of the several proactive measures taken by the country and the state, to safeguard the rights of children in relation to their survival, development, protection and participation, their plight still continues with millions falling prey to various kinds of exploitation and violence.

Burning issues such as infant and child mortality, female foeticide, gender discrimination, gender gaps in literacy, violence against children, etc. still poses serious threats to the lives of children in Uttar Pradesh.

UP Civil Society Alliance shall never try to compete with its members organisations but shall complement with them.
