Samarpan Jan Kalyan Samiti(SJKS) is a Voluntary Development Organization. Registered under Society Registration Act 1860, SJKS has been working since 1987, and has emerged as a forerunner in working for the cause of the poor and deprived community, specially women and girls in the rural and semi-urban areas. We work, primarily, in the most challenging ravines and remote areas where people are live below poverty line due to lack of skill & knowledge. We are strive to empower the community by promoting education, environment, health and livelihood in the districts of Jalaun & Jhansi of Bundelkhand(U.P.). 14 organizations, in the Bundelkhand and Vindhya region, with a similar ideology are associated to us. These organizations are working in 14 different districts on the issue of women farmers economic development and social justice. They are working on the issue with other CSOs, CBOs and local institutions.
The organization has a multi-disciplinary team comprising social scientists, issue specialists (gender, environment, agriculture, health and livelihood), program planners and volunteers. The entire team is committed towards bringing change in the lives of the marginalized & poor by enhancing knowledge and acting for their capacity building.
