Working for over 6 decades Turnstone Global, also known as NAB-WB, is one of the oldest and largest Voluntary organizations in West Bengal & North East India. Initially, focus of the Organization was to work for the welfare of Visually Challenged People. Gradually , people with other type of disability were also included in our mission. Our wide range of services, activities and programmes include:
Eradication of preventable Blindness
Provide treatment facilities to the underprivileged for diseases like AIDS, Renal Failure, etc.
Education for all and provide scholarships to economically backward students
Vocational Training and rehabilitation for the disabled
Advocacy & awareness generation
Employment for the youth
Production and Distribution of Braille and audio material
Distribution of aids and appliances for the poor and needy
Empowerment of Women from marginal section of the society
Care of the Aged and elderly
Socio-economic Rehabilitation of the rural and urban underprivileged including the disabled
Standardized assertive devices and development of new software to enhance skills
Education through various heads and means
Health care support with wide range of wings
Sanitation
Having successfully served over thousands of beneficiaries till date, Turnstone Global has further
widened its activities to include programmes like Poverty Alleviation, Agricultural Development, and
Comprehensive Health Care. Many more programmes in diverse fields will be taken up shortly and the
list of activities shall be an ever growing one.
Today, apart from serving the people of West Bengal, Turnstone Global has already started working in
the states of Tripura and Assam. Soon, our activities shall be initiated at other states in North East
India.
Our zeal to continue our activity and active support from our well wishers, volunteers and last but not
the least, the support from the society has helped us to travel this far from a modest beginning 5
decades back. With continuous support from all spheres, Turnstone Global is destined to become a
significant name providing service to the people nation-wide in the years to come.
We request individuals/organisations from India or abroad to be part of our projects by donating cash
or by rendering expertise in the relevant field. Our uniqueness is we work with need based approach,
so that the ultimate issues will be solved in local level. Hence working with us is really an enjoyable
and fruitful one for any philanthropic individual/organisation.

Visually Challenged
Capacity Building for disabled youth and economically backward women
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Government of India sponsered) at Malda &Matigara.
Free Vocational Training under NCVT at Purulia & Siliguri.
WB Sarva Shiksha Mission.
Health services at Aizawl, Mizoram.
Community Development at Kurseong, Darjeeling.

Set-up a school at Purulia for underprivileged students up to Higher Secondary level
