About Chethana Integrated Development Society Kayamkulam in Kayamkulam P.O, Kayamkulam

Chethana is an official social work organization of the catholic Diocese of Mavelikara.It was constituted in 2007 and registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII of 1955.We Facilitates self help groups, organizing and empowering the poor, women, widows, differently able, aged, children and also the unorganized and marginalized sections of the society irrespective of caste, creed and religion It is within 6 regions such as Mavelikara, Kattanam, Chengannur, Kadampanad, Puthoor and Kollam consisting of 23 local units having 470 Self Help Groups, 15 CBR groups, 10 Senior Citizens groups and 54 children group. The coverage geographical area includes 96 villages of the revenue districts of Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha having a total population of about 3 million. Chethana always gives special care and concern to the diseased.
