“GSB for Seva”-“Make a difference through service” is our ultimate dream where every member will contribute to the community in terms of knowledge, resource, money, services ensuring that the community gets quality services and support and in turn every individual part of the community benefits. With this we intend to reach the unreached,tap their strengths and utilize it for their own benefit as well as the benefit of the community. GSB youth will be encouraged to participate in the vedike’s various project with their individual capacities.

Alone we can achieve a little but together we can achieve a lot. Bringing all GSB service-oriented organizations under one umbrella to reach out to a bigger GSB populace is our wish. We strongly believe in coming together is beginning, keeping together is progress, but working together is success.

With functional centers in Dakshina Kannada where our community thrives we intend to reach out to our global community in terms of quality services. “Seva” for us is serving all layers of the community,thus bringing everyone together and uniting for the welfare of our community as a whole.

Our Programs :
1. KUTUMBA CHAITANYA NIDHI :
Help the needy and poor community people financially who are struggling even for their daily food needs by providing Rs.1,000.00 per month. It’s been launched as a 1 year pilot program. With the help of donors it will be extended. Till the date 24 families are getting benefited by this program.

2. VIDYA POSHAK NIDHI :
Financial assistance for poor but Merited students of our community for their academic needs. Especially to help those children who lost their families. Already 65 meritorious students with poor financial background were given scholarships of Rs.10,000 each.

3. AAROGYA CHAITANYA NIDHI :
Helps the needy and poor community people financially in their emergency health related matters. We have helped many people financially till now. Our main aim is to help those poor and needy people who were suffering from Cancer, Kidney Failure, Heart Diseases and Hospitalization due to acciedent. We have also planned to launch Free Health Insurance Policies for 3000 needy families of Udupi district with a cover of Rs.1 lac each.

4. ADOPT A FAMILY :
Financial assistance given to the needy families to cover their basic minimum needs like food, medical expenses and education to their children. Already 30 families were adopted under this scheme.

5. GSB GRAHA NIRMANA YOJANA :
This social welfare scheme aimed at constructing new houses or reconditioning the existing houses of the needy family. We have already built a new house at Saligram of KundapurTaluk at the cost of Rs. 5 lac. for the three physically challenged inmates of a GSB family.

6. SAMPOORNA SWACCHATA PROGRAM :
Helps the families to build bath and toilet facility with a unit cost of Rs.35,000. Already 6 bath room and toilets were built so far.

7. JEEVAN MUKTHI NIDHI :
This program of Vedike aims to help those GSB’s living single or at orphanages who die leaving no one to conduct his or her funeral. Funds will be provided immediately with the help of local members of Vedike.
