Serou, a beautiful village on the southern most tip of the Thoubal district and the end of the plains....this is the meeting point of three districts, Thoubal, Churachandpur and Chandel..
A confluence point of beautiful chakpi river with the mighty Imphal river,this village is surrounded on three sides by river and scenic hills overlooks it providing a protective look....Famous for agricultural products like maize (Serou chuzak), mustard leaves (Serou hangam) and rice and also for sand from Chakpi river (Chakpi leingoi)...This village is a very excellent example of harmonic existance between different group of the society... multilingual as almost everyone knows the others languages....it also serve as a transit point for villages in the surrounding hill....

One and only high school till date..the Serou Practical High school is famous for producing many a good students despite of being in a remote place with limited resources...it has produced many teachers, army officers, doctor, engineers and many more....
