I remember the first complete album I recorded. I was never paid for it nor was I ever credited, but I still hold that sound dear to me, as it was my first mistake in this career and pursuit to perfect sound.
I remember the first band I made and getting kicked out of it. It was worse than my first break up.
I remember losing a friend, a musician and a brother who held us together.
... and I remember, the first time I saw someone shed a tear, when they heard their own voice through my speakers.
Art is, telling a story, and music tells it best. But music is complex. The one's who make it are more so. They are close, sensitive and mind the world around them. They are story tellers and mathematicians. They are stuck in day jobs, trying to fuel their passion with every last waking minute and every last saving. Art is, toil and suffering, so you may smile.
I like to believe that creation is the most superior phenomena of all, but our world does not value the creators at every turn. Many are ignored, or many simply cannot tell their story due to the hypocrisy of our social system and pressure of norms, trends and standards. So, I invite all musicians, big and small, skilled or genius and the thinkers. I promise to be a part of your story as mine own and tell it so it stands tall in this hypocrisy and unfairness. I promise to dedicate all of myself to your vision, so your gifted soul may never lose hope.
