Adorned with the prestigious title of “Jagadguruttam” by the unrivalled 500 scholars of the 'Kashi Vidvat Parishat', Jagadguru 1008 Swami Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj is the fifth original Jagadguru following the four former Jagadgurus – Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya, Jagadguru Shri Nimbarkacharya, Jagadguru Shri Ramanujacharya and Jagadguru Shri Madhvacharya.

Upholding the principles of the erstwhile Jagadgurus, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj lays down a truly reconciled philosophy because of which He was also conferred with the titles “Nikhila-darshana-samanvayacharya” and “Bhakti-yoga-rasavatara”. According to Him, devotion is the only path to God realization.

Her Holiness Sushree Braj Kishori Devi Ji is one of the foremost preachers of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Born in an affluent but God-loving family, Devi Ji was fortunate to get the association of Shri Maharaj Ji from a very tender age of 8 years. It was probably Her ardent devotion and surrender in the lotus feet of her Guru that made Shri Maharaj Ji predict that Devi Ji would grow up to be His preacher and lead thousands of people on the path of devotion.

Since childhood, Devi Ji's brilliance academically and beyond was par excellence. After completing her Masters in Sanskrit, Devi Ji also earned Herself a Doctorate degree in the same. Thereafter, she had a short stint as a Lecturer in Kannauj Degree College. However, Her intense detachment from the material world, longing for the Supreme Personality, and Shri Maharaj Ji's prophecy made during Her childhood days were beckoning Her strongly to renounce the world. Hence, she resigned and devoted Herself unto the lotus feet of Shri Maharaj Ji for learning of the scriptures. It took her just 2 months to acquire the complete knowledge of all the scriptures not only of the Sanatan Hindu Dharma but also that of all other religions.

On 13th October, 1981 Shri Maharaj Ji graced Devi Ji with the Divine Saffron Robes appointing Devi Ji as His preacher. Since then, Devi Ji has been preaching throughout the country far and wide, more prominently in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Assam, West Bengal and Rajasthan.

In 2009, Devi Ji first graced the North Eastern States of the country by giving lectures in Guwahati and Shillong. Since then Devi Ji has given a number of lectures throughout Assam including Guwahati, Shillong, Tezpur and Dibrugarh.

Regular Sankeertan was initiated by Devi Ji in Guwahati in 2009.

The Sankeertan continues regularly every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) as also on all special occasions/festivals.

Presently, the weekly Sankeertan is held at Durga Mandir, Burra Bazar, Pandu (Maligaon), Guwahati.
