About Department of Physics, SGGSWU in Department of Physics, SGGSWU, Fatehgarh Sahib

Physics department was established to train the young minds for research in the area of basic and applied sciences, and to inculcate scientific temperament. This department boasts of well qualified faculty with research interest in different areas of Physics. Presently, the department is offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral program in Physics.
The department encourages students to participate in various scientific and research programs at national and international level in specialized areas like Radiation Physics, Nuclear Physics, High Energy Physics and Solid State Physics.

We work with current students, staff, researchers and friends of the Department, aiming and enhancing the experience of being part of one of the most successful Departments of University.
We will be working in developing events, projects and programmes in order to facilitate interactions, creating relationships that keep growing beyond graduation day.
