Cultural Academy for Peace (CAP) is a human rights NGO, established in 1984 having its main focus on empowerment and rights of women and children. CAP envisions a society based on peace, justice, reconciliation and respect for life. It functions across the state focusing on the empowerment of women and children through overall development. It focuses on care and protection of women in crisis situation especially those who are the victims of Social, Psychological, Economic and Sexual Violence or who are isolated from their families and the society. It works to protect the rights of women as well as encourage women to respond to violence and abuse.
Last 30 years we have been undertaking initiatives to address and to combat the Atrocities against women and children - Domestic Violence, Dowry system, Rights to properties, sexual offence etc.
