About Society of Teresians for Environmental Protection - STEP in St Teresa's College, Park Avenue Road, Ernakulam

More than a trillion plastic bags are consumed around the world every day. These plastic bags take around 1000 years to degenerate completely. With the entire world being sacked up in plastic carry bags, we thought it’s high time that we do our part to protect our Mother Earth. That’s how we the members of Society of Teresians for Environmental Protection (STEP) came up with the idea of Bhoomitra bags, an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags. The Society of Teresians for Environment Protection (STEP) is the Social Entrepreneurship Club of St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. It is registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Act XII of 1955).
