About Sukrtindra Oriental Research Institute in , Ernakulam

This Centre of Learning was established in Kochi in 1971 by H. H. Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji, 20th Mathadhipathi of Kashi Math Samsthan, Varanasi. The activities of the Institute cover a vast area in the field of Indology and all other oriental branches of study and learning. Founded in the revered memory of H. H. Srimad Sukrtindra Tirtha Swamiji,this Institute is an invaluable gift to Kerala on behalf of the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin community. The Chief Patron of the Institute is H. H. Srimad Samyamindra Tirtha Swamiji, the 21st Mathadhipati of Sree Kashi Math Samsthan, Varanasi.
The University of Kerala and Mahatma Gandhi University have recognised the Institute as a Research Centre for Sanskrit. The Institute has a unique and well maintained manuscript section as well as a vast Reference Library occupying all of its first floor.
