Gouri Devi Private Industrial Training Institute (GDPITI) is a vocational training institute located at Rajbandh, at the vicinity of the Industrial town Durgaour. It is famous for the presence of many steel plants, functioning at the different levels of the value chain. The sole motto of this institute is to develop skill among the students of ordinary merit in various technical areas like, fitter, electrician, etc. with the guidance of the learned and committed instructors, GDPITI imparts training programs at its workshop having all requisite facilities. Gouri Devi Private Industrial Training Institute is located at Rajbandh under the jurisdiction of Kanksa Gram Panchayat, Sub-Division Durgapur. It has started its operation from September 12, 2011 with two trades – Fitter and Electrician. The famous industrial towns – Durgapur and Asansol – are located on the western side of Rajbandh. With the presence of Durgapur Steel Plant and Alloy Steel Plant, the two units of Steel Authority of India Ltd. as well as the many other steel manufacturing units like Balaji Steel etc., Durgapur is called as the ‘Rurh’ of the East.
