About Mitrás School Of Dance in 86,jani jhan khan road,royapettah, Chennai

Mitras, a school of dance was born from the passion of six aspiring dancers Lalitha, Suvi kumar, Shivapriya, Namratha, Preethi and Padmashree.

As the name suggests, it stands for “Friends”. The school was started with the motive of inculcating the essence of dance to the students through a friendly Guru-Sishya relationship.

The school is run by :

Lalitha Narasimhan - a dancer and teacher with great commitment who brought us together and helped us take a step forward.

Suvi Kumar - An extremely talented,energetic & enthusiastic dancer, for whom dance is a part and parcel of his life.He sees dance in everything around him and learns from it.

Preethi Muthuraman - A very sincere and earnest dancer,good learner and a strong believer of ‘Practice makes a man perfect’.

Padmashree Pannagasayanam - A very dedicated dancer who makes sure there are no compromises when it comes to dance.

Namratha Naidu - A much focused dancer who believes that only dance can keep her lively and content.

Shivapriya - A very enthusiastic dancer, who sees dance as her life. She is never tired and is always set to go when it comes to dance.

Lalitha, Shivapriya, Preethi, Namratha and Padmashree are students of guru Kalaimamani Smt.Ranganayaki Jayaraman.They are training under guru Dr.Smt.Lakshmi Ramaswamy for dance theory and nattuvangam.

Suvi Kumar is training in Kuchipudi under guru Sri Vempati Chinna Satyam of Kuchipudi Arts Academy, and under guru Sri L.Narendra Kumar for Bharathnatyam and folk.
