APKSU Trust believes in empowering the underprivileged people. The trust runs a shelter home in Madavaram (Chennai) where 80 inmates are supported. The trust also runs a free tuition centre for the underprivileged students for the last 26 years without any major sponsors. The founder of the trust Mr Darmaraj a daily wager and a 10th Std pass out dedicated his whole life for the upliftment of the socially downtrodden poor people.Today the Trust runs 70 free tuition centre and supporting 1750 students across Tamilnadu. The free tuition centre helps the student to motivate and help them to persuade their education,because of the volunteer teachers effort the school dropout has gradually reduced.The trust is planning to enhance the tuition centre from 70 to 100 tuition centre within a year and covering 3500 to 4000 underprivileged students . The trust plans to start an industrial training courses like hardware,software,mobile repair,electrical,electronics training to encourage self employment for the social-economically backward people to be self reliant. The trust definitely will spend each and every penny raised through this initiative for the development and empowerment of the underprivileged people.Your contribution however big or small will help empower the deprived and needy people.
