The custom of serving bakshanam originated and nurtured along with the human civilization. Today we continue to serve bakshanam as a sign of love and affection. Snacks, nibbles, appetizers, munchies are some of the terms we use in this era to address bakshanam. Terms could be altered and changed time and again but the purpose remains the same. Keeping this in mind we at BAKSHANALAYAM wanted to deliver “Bakshanam” with clean and wholesome ingredients from its “Aalayam” to the homes keeping in mind the old recipes which were passed down to us from our grandmothers.
Each bakshanam has its unique flavor and wholesome taste as prepared by our grandmothers and mothers way back in 80`s and 90`s. The recipes were handpicked from the region where each bakshanam originated. The method used to make these bakshanam`s have not been changed by us and the traditional method has been followed from grinding to pounding and mixing to molding. Our team traveled down south to Karaikudi, Thenkasi, Thirunelvelli, Sivagangai, Manapaarai, and more places to understand and learn the techniques used by them to prepare their regional specialty bakshanam. We have only changed and enhanced the way our bakshanam`s are delivered to you.
