Women Entrepreneurs India offers support to women looking forward to start a business with ideas that coincide with their abilities, interests and skills. Started in the year 2013 by Mahalakshmi Saravanan, WEI strives to educate, train, support and motivate women entrepreneurs all over India, through innovative business ideas, startup funding avenues, marketing support and mentor connects.
With a national presence, WEI plans to support the ventures and ideas of women from the urban and rural sections with equal vigour. Women Entrepreneurs India has a well-rooted institutional capacity and alliances with able mentors, trainers and marketing professionals, to support women in all avenues of their entrepreneurial dreams.
Driven by an inborn talent for entrepreneurship, Mahalakshmi Saravanan conceptualized and founded Women Entrepreneurs India,a firm established to encourage and support the endeavours of budding women entrepreneurs. She has been instrumental in creating collaborative business networks for women planning to expand and conquer new avenues.She has conducted numerous networking events,workshops and training programmes for women entrepreneurs.
Mahalakshmi Saravanan has been conferred the Rex Karmaveer Global Fellowship. This is the only FELLOWSHIP in the world that is led by the fellows themselves.
Karmaveer Chakra is the National Medallion of honour for proactive voluntary citizen action to Be & Lead the Change. These awards were instituted with a simple passion mantra – to recognize real life unsung heroes who believe ‘It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness’.
She has recently been selected by Chennai Turns Pink as the Pink Ambassador for a social cause - "Breast Cancer Awareness".
She was a panelist at the International Women’s Day Celebration(March,2015) at World Trade Centre,Mumbai.
Applauding her enterprising feat, Mahalakshmi Saravanan, has been conferred with the “BEST WOMAN ENTREPRENEUR AWARD' by SSM Educational Institutions, Komarapalayam. Tamil Cineworld stalwart ‘Illaya Thilagam’ Dr.G.Prabhu gave away the award crowning her on the eve of the International Conference on Women Entrepreneurship, EVE,2014 held on 22nd and 23rd August,2014.
